A Huawei globálisan 16 kutatási és fejlesztési központot működtet, többek között: Indiában Bangalore-ban, az USA-ban a Silicon Valley-ben és Dallasban, Svédországban Stockholmban, Oroszországban Moszkvában, Olaszországban Milánóban, Kanadában Ottawában ezen kívül Kínában Pekingben, Shanghai-ban, Nanjing-ban, Shenzhen-ben, Hangzhou-ban és Chengdu-ban is.
A Huawei 28 innovációs központot hozott még létre, amelyekben ügyfeleivel együtt végzi a fejlesztéseket, így személyre szabott megoldásokkal járul hozzá az üzleti kihívásoknak való megfeleléshez.
A Huawei Technologies globális árbevétele 2012-ben 35,4 milliárd dollár volt.
 
Cégünk székhelye a kínai Shenzhen városa. A céget 1987-ben Ren Zhengfei alapította és azóta is kizárólag magánvállalat vagyunk. Belső részvényesi struktúránk van, a részvényeket a Huaweinél dolgozók vásárolhatják meg.  A részvények értékét a KPMG könyvvizsgáló cég határozza meg. A vállalat a kínai piacról 1999-ben lépett ki saját leányvállalattal a nemzetközi porondra, az indiai Bangalore-ban hoztunk létre először kutatás-fejlesztési központot. Ezt követően Európában, Svédországban nyitottunk szintén egy kutatási-fejlesztési központot 2000-ben.
 
Cégünk Magyarországon budapesti központtal 2005-től működik, Pécsett és Komáromban pedig egész Európát termékeinkkel ellátó összeszerelő központot, illetve Biatorbágyon szintén európai hatáskörű, logisztikai központot üzemeltetünk. Az ellátó- és logisztikai központot összefoglaló néven, Huawei Európai Ellátó Központnak nevezzük. Magyarországi tevékenységünk bővítése folyamatos.
A Huawei Technologies Hungary közvetlen alkalmazottainak száma 210 fő, ők jórészt a budpesti központban dolgoznak. Az Európai Ellátó Központ üzemletetése partnercégeken keresztül zajlik, mintegy további 2500 embernek biztosítva a megélhetést.
